From Steven Wyble in the Nisqually Valley News:
“JZ Knight is not a person of interest in a Thurston County Sheriff’s Office murder investigation, sheriff’s spokesman Greg Elwin said today [May 16].

‘Her name certainly has come up in the investigation, but she is not a person of interest,’ Elwin said.

Elwin said the sheriff’s office is investigating the 1992 murder of Joe Sumrall after receiving new information on the case.

‘Within the last several months we’ve received new information regarding the Sumrall homicide and that’s what we’re investigating, seeing if any of this new information might yield new clues or information that might help solve the case,’ he said. ‘Some of that information has included JZ Knight’s name, but nothing that causes us to consider her a suspect or person of interest in any way.”

“According to court documents, Coverdale allegedly posted on a Facebook group that she had spoken to a woman who claimed her husband murdered someone in Tenino, allegedly at the request of JZ Knight. Lawyers for JZK, Inc. asked Coverdale to name the alleged witness during a deposition interview and she refused, according to court documents.”

“Judge limits questioning by defense in JZ Knight suit”

JZ Knight News, Press, Yelm and Thurston County Issues

Judge Gary Tabor

Jeremy Pawloski reports in The Olympian:
“An attorney for a former student of Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment
is barred from asking the school’s leader, JZ Knight,
about alleged practices such as encouraging students to drink a liquid containing lye that,
according to the former student’s affidavit, is supposed to ‘accelerate our individual enlightenment.’”

“Thurston County Superior Court Judge Gary Tabor ruled Friday {February 1] in anticipation of Knight’s videotaped deposition that will be part of a breach-of-contract lawsuit brought by JZK Inc. against former student Virginia Coverdale.

Tabor ruled that during Knight’s deposition, Coverdale’s attorney, Shawn Newman, can ask Knight only questions that are directly relevant to the lawsuit. The suit seeks damages in response to Coverdale’s release of videos showing Knight making derogatory comments about Mexicans, Catholics and others last year.”

Weekly Volcano” says:
“Beautiful things in Yelm”

JZ Knight News, Yelm Economy

From the Weekly Volcano:
“Santa spends a lot of time wandering through his North Pole castle with little to do. In other words, he gets on Mrs. Claus’s nerves … a lot. Santa leaves his empty mugs of cocoa in the TV room, he leaves his red pants on the bedroom floor. And don’t get him started about letting the reindeer in the rec-room.

Santa owes Mrs. Claus big time. Wait for it. … There’s no better time to shower her with love and gifts then at Christmas. That is why Santa shops at JZ Rose in Yelm. It’s packed to the rafters with amazing, distinctive and gorgeous gifts. Bone china, lovely linens, glassware, and much more; the store will entertain you, as well as scare your pocketbook. Owned by JZ Knight, you can channel some awesome gifts this holiday season.”

Need a good laugh?

JZ Knight News

“Dear Red States:
We’re ticked off at your Neanderthal attitudes and politics and we’ve decided we’re leaving: “Legitimate rape.” is almost reason enough!

We in Oregon intend to form our own country and we’re taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren’t aware that includes New York, Hawaii, California, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and the rest of the Northeast.

We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation and especially to the people of the new country of The Enlightened States of America (E.S.A).

To sum up briefly:
You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.
We get stem cell research and the best beaches.
We get Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren. You get Bobby Jindal and Todd Akin.
We get the Statue of Liberty. You get OpryLand.
We get Intel and Microsoft.
You get WorldCom.
We get Harvard. You get Ole’ Miss.
We get 85 percent of America’s venture capital and entrepreneurs.
You get Alabama.
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue. You get to make the Red States pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition’s we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.

Please be aware that the E.S.A. will be pro choice and anti war and we’re going to want all our citizens back from Afghanistan at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they’re apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose and they don’t care if you don’t show pictures of their children’s caskets coming home.

We wish you success in Afghanistan, and possibly Iran as well, but we’re not willing to spend our resources in these sorts of pursuits.

With the Blue States in hand we will have firm control of:
80% of the country’s fresh water,
more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce,
92% of the nation’s fresh fruit,
95% of America’s quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners)
90% of all cheese,
90 percent of the high tech industry,
most of the US low sulfur coal,
all living redwoods, sequoias and condors,
all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Cal Tech, Long Beach State, CAL, San Jose State and MIT.

With the Red States you will have to cope with:
88% of all obese Americans and their projected health care costs,
92% of all US mosquitoes,
nearly 100% of the tornadoes,
90% of the hurricanes,
99% of all Southern Baptists,
virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we’re discussing the death penalty or gun laws,
44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.

We’re taking the good weed too. You can have that crap they grow in Mexico.

Sincerely,
Stan Singer
Citizen of The Enlightened States of America”

Yelm, Washington. October 26, 2012 — JZ Knight and Ramtha’s School of Enlightenment have learned today that a group responsible for disseminating a misleading and heavily edited video has plans for another posting. The group has now threatened to post a new video that includes several hours of footage from an online event sponsored by the School. The School’s attorneys believe that this may violate copyright law and be in breach of a contract signed by one of the group’s members. The Daniel J. Evans Nisqually Stewardship Award is given once every five years to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in helping preserve the Nisqually Watershed and delta. Five years ago, Governor Evans presented the first award to Billy Frank Jr.

On October 24th at the Nisqually Indian Tribe’s Braget Farm Conference Center, Billy Frank, Jr. presented this award to the Honorable Norm Dicks for his tireless work towards protecting salmon, wildlife, and habitats in the Nisqually watershed and throughout Puget Sound. Congressman Dicks’ has obtained funds for the expansion of the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge and helped direct funds to the refuge for the biggest estuary restoration on the West Coast. He assisted in settling a long standing dispute between the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Fort Lewis and then directed funds to build a critical fish hatchery as a part of that settlement. His leadership with Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery funding has been critical in helping protect over 75% of the river’s mainstem riparian habitat. Most recently, Congressman Dicks was instrumental in getting funds to implement an innovative approach to salmon recovery with the creation of a weir to support the continued recovery of wild salmon in the Nisqually.

Rep. Dicks is the second recipient of this award.
The Nisqually River Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit committed to implementing the Nisqually Watershed Stewardship Plan., a locally based, fifty year plan to preserve and promote the Nisqually watershed that reaches from the glaciers of Mt. Rainier National Park to the delta in the Nisqually National Wildlife
Refuge.
